Position Summary

The Business Office Manager oversees administrative, billing, and bookkeeping functions, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively with residents, families, and external agencies. The role requires organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and efficiency amidst frequent interruptions.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Medicaid billing
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM or more
  • Experience with Point Click Care, RFMS, or Simple LTC is a plus
Essential Functions
  • Maintain and reconcile Resident Trust Fund accounts
  • Track and research Medicaid applications and accounts
  • Review outstanding balances and initiate collection steps
  • Monitor and process collections
  • Open and distribute facility mail
  • Deposit accounts receivable and Trust Funds
  • Process resident admission paperwork
  • Request refunds promptly
  • Assist with Accounts Payable
  • Complete occupancy and death reports monthly
  • Participate in weekly Triple Check and URL meetings
  • Communicate professionally with residents and families
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements

Ability to perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, kneeling, reaching, with or without accommodations.

Work Schedule

As assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays; non-exempt position.
