Business Office Supervisor/Manager supports the delivery of quality services and the financial goals and objectives of the organization through effective day to day management of patient demographic and financial data. BOM/Coordinator will perform activities upfront collections, financial counseling and data processing. BOM/Coordinator works in conjunction with the Central Business Office to ensure the accuracy of data necessary in the billing and collections process.BOM/Coordinator will follow policies and procedures to ensure accurate capturing and posting of financial activity to assist in maintaining accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for payer and acuity mix
Accurately records and reports census and admission information.
Serves as additional point of contact regarding benefit determination within departmental timelines.
Performs upfront collections, financial counseling and data processing
Ensures accurate capturing and posting of financial activity and maintains accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for payer and acuity mix.
Actively works with the Utilization department to ensure pre-certifications, certifications, and appeals are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Corresponds effectively with commercial and managed care payers.
Performs insurance benefit verification and financial counseling in a timely manner.
Reviews deposits to ensure accuracy and balances cash daily
Ensures accurate records of financial transactions for the facility.
Assists the Financial Counselor to ensure payments are received by clients.

Education: Associates degree or higher in business administration, accounting preferred, or a combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience: Previous experience in business development at psychiatric healthcare facility preferred
