Job summary

Bear Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Grapevine, TX seeks a Full-Time business office supervisor to support facility operations. You will obtain Medicaid authorizations, manage resident trust funds, supervise office staff, and assist with Medi-Cal applications and billing processes.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong billing knowledge for skilled nursing, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Prior long-term care experience is preferred with attention to accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Prefer at least one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise business office staff and administer performance and disciplinary actions.
  • Obtain managed care and Medi-Cal/Medicaid authorizations, including bedholds.
  • Manage resident trust funds and print and distribute monthly statements.
  • Maintain census and report status changes.
  • Attend stand-up meetings as requested by the Administrator.
  • Assist with Medi-Cal/Medicaid applications.
  • Prepare TARS as needed and track Medicaid redeterminations.
  • Participate in billing and payment processes, including bank deposits.
  • Undertake collection activity for bad debts.
  • Schedule work and oversee staff to complete operational requirements.

Full-TimeSalary Range 50,000-70,000General PurposeSupports facility operations by maintaining business office systems and supervision staff.Essential Duties• Obtain managed care and Medi-Cal or Medicaid authorizations including bedholds.• Assist with managing resident trust fund, including printing and distributing monthly statements.• Supervise business office staff, including taking appropriate disciplinary measures.• Maintain census and report status changes.• May attend stand-up meetings at the request of the Administrator.• Assist with Medi-Cal or Medicaid applications.• Prepare TARS as needed.• Track Medi-Cal and Medicaid redeterminations.• Participate in billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits.• Undertake collection activity for bad debts.• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.Supervisory RequirementsAssist with the overall supervision and management of the business office staff.QualificationEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment as well as proficient in Microsoft products computer skills.Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.Language SkillsAbility to read technical procedures.Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsKnowledge and experience with PCC preferred.Physical DemandsThe essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Prolong use of computer.
