Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a friendly Administrative Assistant for the Lexington Neurology team in West Columbia. The role supports patients, providers, and office staff, ensuring smooth patient flow and timely service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance data entry, greeting patients, and assisting with office operations. Prior administrative experience in a medical setting is preferred, with opportunities for growth and continuous training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6 months in a related field involving administrative support and customer service activities.
  • Certification in Medical Office Administration is a plus but not required.
  • Experience can be substituted for related coursework or a certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Assist with scheduling, referrals and appointments.
  • Enter/verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Maintain and file medical records; handle forms and charting.
  • Answer phones and relay messages accurately and promptly.

Job Summary

Assists patients, visitors, providers and office staff in a courteous and friendly manner. Performs all duties efficiently and timely, while maintaining a positive patient flow. Serves as an office liaison when required.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 6 months in a related field involving administrative support and customer service activities
Substitutable Education & Experience: Experience can be substituted for successful completion of a Medical Office Administrative Assistant certificate program
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: None.
