Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC, seeks a friendly Medical Office Administrative Assistant to support patients, visitors and staff. You will help manage phone calls, scheduling, records and office operations to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months in an administrative or customer service environment; training is provided. Day shift, full-time, with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

  • Experience can substitute for a Medical Office Administrative Assistant certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, visitors and staff in a courteous manner and support positive flow.
  • Handle telephone calls, messages and referrals with accurate information.
  • Schedule appointments, referrals, surgeries and hospital admissions as needed.
  • Maintain medical records, forms, electronic charting and patient demographics.
  • Assist with billing, deposits, postings and collections when required.
  • Support office operations and ensure supplies and equipment are managed.

Job Summary

Assists patients, visitors, providers and office staff in a courteous and friendly manner. Performs all duties efficiently and timely, while maintaining a positive patient flow. Serves as an office liaison when required.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 6 months in a related field involving administrative support and customer service activities
Substitutable Education & Experience: Experience can be substituted for successful completion of a Medical Office Administrative Assistant certificate program
