The University of Virginia is seeking a Business Manager in its Office of Research Core Administration. This position involves supporting financial operations for 20 Research Cores, preparing reports, and providing assistance to core directors. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and relevant administrative experience, with strong communication and organizational skills emphasized.
The Office of Research Core Administration (ORCA) is seeking a Unit Administrator level 1 or 2 (working title: Business Manager). This position will provide support to the Assistant Director and Director of Research Infrastructure. ORCA supports operations of 20 Research Cores in the School of Medicine by reporting monthly income statements, billing and fund recovery, facilitating new hires, coordinating the annual RAC report and strategizing core operations with the Assistant Director of Research Infrastructure. The Business Manager will report directly to and will work closely with Assistant Director to maintain and improve operational capabilities and will provide customer service support for the School of Medicine principal investigators.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
