Job description

Business Manager – CDX Product Strategy Summary

As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You'll team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. And you will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

The Role | General Responsibilities

We're seeking a Manager, Product Strategy, to support strategic priorities for the Consumer and Developer Experience (CDX) leadership team. CDX is an exciting space with diverse product responsibilities. The Consumer and Developer Experience (CDX) organization drives the critical platforms that power world‑class digital engagement for our customers and best‑in‑class tools for the developers who build them. Our diverse portfolio spans the Capital One mobile app, advanced marketing and personalization engines, AI‑driven platforms that transform how we build software, and essential enterprise risk and supplier capabilities. By unifying these consumer, developer, and enterprise operations, CDX accelerates our ability to modernize core systems, strengthen the company's risk posture, and deliver seamless experiences at massive scale.

The Manager will join a horizontal product and strategy team that supports priorities across CDX. The product and strategy team serves as an internal engine for both vision and strategic alignment, occupying a unique space at the intersection of strategic advisory and product creation. We operate with the rigor of top‑tier consulting to solve the organization’s hardest strategic questions, drive the annual planning process, and align our long‑term priorities. At the same time, we are builders: we act as an innovation lab, developing prototypes and partnering closely with product and engineering teams to translate conceptual visions into tangible, scaled digital experiences. We are looking for someone who thrives in this duality—someone who is equally energized by big‑picture questions about where the world is going, thorny problems that require a strategic mindset and close partnership with product and tech teams, and hands‑on building.

  • Partner with CDX leaders to answer thorny strategic questions, using a consulting‑style model.
  • Own, end‑to‑end, major workstreams on priority strategic initiatives for CDX, such as AI transformation.
  • Support the organization’s intelligence unit, providing analytics, landscape assessments, thematic deep dives, and more to help the organization see around corners and anticipate headwinds and tailwinds.
  • Set the vision for long‑term product innovation, including partnering with engineering to deliver product prototypes.
  • Obsess about internal and external customer satisfaction by establishing trusted, close touch relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company.
  • Contribute to CDX organization’s strategic capabilities (e.g., by developing and delivering trainings).
  • Role model AI adoption by inventing and spreading solutions that improve work efficiency, quality, and fun.
The Person
  • Exceptional strategy and strategic problem‑solving skills, with a record of answering hard questions in ambiguous areas.
  • Very strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis.
  • A strong customer or product orientation – thinks in terms of customers’ needs.
  • An innovation mindset, characterized by a future orientation, the ability to set a vision, and a willingness to push boundaries.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills that result in trusted partnerships across organizations.
  • Ability to establish credibility with senior leaders and colleagues from different disciplines (e.g., data scientists, P&L owners, designers, engineers).
  • Intellectual curiosity: an interest in understanding and experimenting with new leading edge technologies, organizational models, and ways of thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ judgment and experience to make rapid and complex decision.
  • Highly effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
Basic Qualifications
