Location: New York, NY

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation, including workouts and judicial commercial foreclosures, in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Candidate Profile:
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in New York.
  • 3–5 years of substantive experience with business litigation and creditor’s rights, including workouts and judicial commercial foreclosures.
  • Experience handling cases in New York state, federal, and bankruptcy courts is required.
  • Clerkship experience is preferred.
  • Active New Jersey Bar Admission and experience in New Jersey courts is preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Eager to take on challenging litigation matters and contribute to trial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in business litigation and creditor’s rights cases, including workouts, judicial commercial foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Handle litigation in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Manage discovery, including depositions, document production, and expert witness preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on case matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
  • Advocate for clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
