Job summary

Jobot, a Jacksonville-based law firm, seeks an experienced attorney to manage business and commercial litigation from inception through trial prep. You will draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and supervise depositions while coordinating discovery and expert input.

Florida Bar admission in good standing and at least 3 years of relevant litigation experience are required. Excellent writing, client communication, and the ability to manage deadlines with minimal oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Florida Bar admission in good standing (required).
• At least 3 years of business/commercial litigation experience (required).
• Strong writing skills with experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement communications.
• Deposition experience (taking and defending) and comfort handling hearings.
• Experience in Florida state court practice; federal court experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Professional, client-ready communication style and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of business and commercial litigation matters from inception through settlement, mediation, dispositive motions, and trial prep
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, and prepare pleadings, written discovery, and subpoenas
• Take and defend depositions, coordinate expert discovery, and manage fact development
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused advice to clients
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and conferences in Florida state and federal courts
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align litigation strategy with business goals
