Qualifications

• 1-3 years of legal experience in general civil litigation.
• Active Illinois law license or ability to obtain promptly.
• Familiarity with Cook County Local Rules and electronic filing systems.
• Strong legal drafting, research, and organizational skills.
• Empathetic communication style for client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft complaints, answers, and affirmative defenses.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories.
• Draft and respond to motions, such as motions to dismiss.
• Represent parties at court appearances and trials.
• Participate in settlement conferences and mediations.
• Manage client interactions with corporate officers.
