Business Intelligence Specialist - 100% Remote

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to identify and drive opportunities for information delivery and business intelligence solutions by utilizing skills in Power BI for our Aerospace client.

The candidate will review, strategize, and optimize the current BI environment; identify solutions to improve data architecture, quality, and processes; and drive the implementation of solutions. Additionally, the candidate will assist with new user setup to ensure employees have proper access to Power BI and SQL reports.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining complete documentation for all production data warehouse analytics, dashboards, and reports.
2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI toolset.
3. Working knowledge of data warehouse design, development, and maintenance.
4. Ability to define both technical and reporting requirements to develop analytics from concepts to final reporting output.
5. Troubleshooting and providing end-to-end support for BI Reports and database issues in live and development environments.
6. Establishing and cultivating relationships with key partners through effective verbal and written communication skills.
7. Utilizing strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues back to the original data source.
8. Researching data definitions, usage, and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.
9. Expert troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve, and escalate problems, identifying the need for technical assistance in problem resolution.
10. Summarizing highly complex business cases, system information, and concepts to clearly communicate to leadership.
11. Data and business analysis skills, including strong building of data models, data sets, and documentation skills.
12. Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications is a must.
