Job Description

Duties:

1. Lead a Business Intelligence (“BI”) team of BI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Solution Strategists in client engagements, managing and providing guidance to ensure high-quality work.
2. Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional teams in a collaborative and agile environment.
3. Perform routine testing of own and others' work to guarantee accurate, complete processes that support business needs.
4. Monitor performance, diagnose and implement tuning/optimization, and collaborate on architecture and data structures for high-performance, scalable reporting solutions.
5. Document data flows and technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational, business, and security standards.
6. Mentor junior BI analysts and serve as the BI point of contact with cross-functional teams.
7. Develop dashboard reports using Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, ThoughtSpot, or similar tools.
8. Engage with clients to understand business goals, KPIs, data sources, and visualization requirements.
9. Create wireframes for client approval before dashboard development.
10. Present analysis findings and insights to client organizations.
11. Work with decisioning platforms and enterprise data in EDW/Analytics Sandbox environments.
12. Connect to and analyze data from various databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Amazon Redshift, and others.
13. Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and joining to support BI visualization tools.
14. Ensure data quality through checks and build relevant data marts.
15. Utilize ETL tools such as Alteryx for data extraction.
16. This role allows remote work from any U.S. location with up to 15% travel for client meetings.
17. Salary: $148,782 per year, with benefits including health insurance, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, and more.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Master’s degree in data analytics, data science, computer science, or related field + 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field + 5 years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience must include:

• 3 years working with BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
• 3 years designing and developing BI reporting and analytics solutions.
• 3 years in BI project management, including planning and scoping.
• 2 years leading and mentoring junior team members.
• 2 years working with databases like Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
