Job summary

Samba TV in New York is seeking a data-driven BI leader to own data pipelines, dashboards, and governance. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product to translate questions into reliable analytics.

The role leads a global BI team, drives Azure-based infrastructure, data quality, and reporting standards, delivering insights on advertiser performance and revenue analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain BI infrastructure and data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and pipeline logic
• Oversee development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and other reporting
• Translate business questions from stakeholders into data models and reporting solutions
• Provide cross-team collaboration to serve Sales, Finance, Marketing and Product
• Mentor a team of BI analysts across the globe and guide day-to-day execution
• Triage and prioritize data requests with the Director of BI
• Set standards for code quality, documentation, and project delivery
• Serve as the subject matter expert for our BI infrastructure

Job description

• Own and maintain our Azure-based BI infrastructure, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Blob Storage
• Manage and evolve our data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and pipeline logic
• Partner with data engineering on integrations with upstream systems (Salesforce, DSPs, ad platforms)
• Ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and documentation standards across the team
• Oversee the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and other reporting
• Translate business questions from stakeholders into data models and reporting solutions
• Support revenue analytics – including advertiser performance, DSP reporting, and product-level breakdowns
• Own ad hoc analysis and deep-dives as needed
• Cross-Team Collaboration to build and maintain a platform that serves the needs of constituents across Sales, Sales Support, Finance, Marketing and Product
• Manage and mentor a team of BI analysts across the globe, supporting their growth and day-to-day execution
• Triage and prioritize incoming data requests alongside the Director of BI
• Set and uphold standards for code quality, documentation, and project delivery
• Serve as the subject matter expert for our BI infrastructure
