Job summary

Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), a Munich Re company, offers a national undergraduate internship program beginning with a part-time winter term and moving to a full-time role in the summer of 2027. The 11-week Undergraduate Summer Internship provides hands-on experience and exposure to senior leaders across departments.

Roles include building Power BI dashboards, data transformation, and KPI reporting, with a team-capstone project and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a relevant bachelor's degree in a business/tech field.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Transform and clean data using Power Query.
• Write basic to intermediate DAX measures for KPIs and metrics.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports.
• Document dashboards, metrics, and data definitions.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests.

As Business Intelligence Intern, responsible for:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports

Skills and Qualifications:

• Major in Business Administration, Computer Science / MIS, Accounting & Finance, Data Analytics
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel
• Competency with Microsoft platforms
• Attention to detail
• Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to communicate effectively
• Effective leadership skills to drive projects/tasks to completion
