Job summary

A & T SYSTEMS INC is seeking a Tableau Development Specialist to build and maintain reports and dashboards using Tableau Desktop, Prep, and Server. You will follow SOPs and contribute to data models, visualizations, and documentation while aligning with agency requirements.

The role requires a 3+ year BI/ Tableau background, strong SQL skills, and the ability to work with data warehouses, lakes, and marts. Collaboration in a structured environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field.
• Three years of equivalent BI development experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum three years of BI development experience with Tableau.

Description

This position is for a Tableau Development Specialist. The candidate will develop and maintain reports and dashboards utilizing tools such as Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep. This position will be responsible for following and complying with Standard Operating Procedures .

Duties:

• Gather requirements for reporting.
• Follow the agency Center of Excellence procedures for projects.
• Develop and maintain data models consistent with agency requirements and needs.
• Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of developed solutions and instructional procedures.
• Attendance at ITO meetings (as required).
• Regular status reporting of assigned tasks to MSP supervisor.
• After-hours support (as required).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

This position requires a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or

university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field. Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.

General Experience:

The proposed candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with Tableau.

Specialized Experience:

The candidate should have experience as a BI developer or similar role with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes. The candidate should be proficient in SQL and experience with BI tools/software. They should possess a strong understanding of data warehouse, data lakehouse, and data mart concepts.

• At least one (1) year of experience, creating SQL queries
• At least one (1) year of experience with Tableau Desktop
• At least one (1) year of experience using Tableau Server
• At least one (1) year of experience using Tableau Prep

Preferred:

• Experience and demonstratable working knowledge of Python (programming language)
