Job Title:Business Intelligence Developer/Systems Analyst
Location:Wellesley Hills, MA
Duration: 6-month Contract
Work Type: Remote
Pay Range: $63 - $65/Hr

Position Overview:

• The Business Intelligence Developer/Systems Analyst serves as a critical bridge between client and operational stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into comprehensive technical requirements for BI solutions.
• This role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements while ensuring quality through thorough testing processes.
  
  

Primary Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirements workshops to understand business needs and pain points
• Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
• Map current state processes and design future state solutions

Technical Documentation

• Develop comprehensive technical specifications for BI development teams
• Create and maintain documentation in Jira for requirement tracking and project management
• Design test scenarios and test cases for unit testing and UAT
• Document data mapping specifications and business rules
• Testing & Quality Assurance
• Lead UAT testing efforts with business stakeholders
• Execute unit testing of BI reports and dashboards
• Validate data accuracy and business logic implementation
• Document and track defects, ensuring proper resolution

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business teams
• Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Track project progress and provide regular status updates
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project risks/issues
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of BI concepts and data analytics
• Experience with SQL and data modeling concepts
• Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation
• Knowledge of Jira and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, or MS SQL Server Reporting Services
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
• Troubleshoots BI-related problems, fixes bugs and tunes for performance.
• Executes proof of concept to validate ideas or technologies.
• Ensures data accuracy for the reports and certify testing for all possible conditions.
