We are a manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We offer an on-site work environment that sparks innovation and collaboration. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be working on a variety of projects as we grow within the E-commerce/Manufacturing industry.
In this position, you will drive data-informed decision-making across the entire organization. You'll take ownership of the end-to-end analytics lifecycle-partnering directly with key stakeholders to assess business requirements, build robust ETL pipelines, model complex datasets, design sleek dashboards, and train team members on self-service reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads and internal clients to translate raw business needs into actionable, end-to-end reporting and visual analytics solutions.
Modern Data Platform Management: Build, optimize, and oversee the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and Semantic Models).
Dashboard & Visual Design: Create enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and intuitive self-service reporting tools that surface key business insights.
Architecture & Governance: Establish a central repository for company reporting, contribute to data governance standards, and apply strict data security controls.
Technical Support & Mentorship: Maintain thorough documentation, conduct end-user training sessions, and step in to handle core Database Administration (DBA) tasks as needed.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience crafting comprehensive business intelligence solutions, reporting tools, and dashboards.
Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL proficiency with a proven track record of handling and analyzing complex, multi-layered datasets.
Modern Data Stack: Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable modern data lakehouse environments.
Innovative Mindset: An AI-first approach to problem-solving and analytics development.
Data Visualization Skills: Demonstrated talent for transforming complex data into intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Analytics Tools: Exposure to predictive modeling using Python or R, plus working knowledge of Google Analytics / Looker Studio and SSRS (or similar report writers).
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and convey technical concepts clearly across all levels of an organization.
