You will translate business questions into data‑driven insights, design scalable dashboards, automate reporting, and promote self‑service analytics with strong governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting delivering data-driven insights.
• 2+ years with Teradata and BigQuery for enterprise-scale data management and analytics.
• Experience developing and optimizing datasets, dashboards, and reports using Qlik or Looker.
• Experience enabling self-service analytics for business teams.
• Strong background in financial analytics, automated reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of modern cloud-based data warehouses and analytics tools.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join their team! This position is located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Duties

• Develop and maintain advanced business intelligence (BI) solutions to support financial reporting, analytics, and strategic decision‑making for the Finance department and key stakeholders
• Analyze internal financial data to uncover insights, identify opportunities for new data products, and design reporting solutions that align with business objectives
• Anticipate future business needs by designing scalable, forward‑looking BI solutions that evolve with changing requirements
• Translate complex business questions into actionable technical requirements and data‑driven insights
• Review, evaluate, and refine reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and business relevance
• Lead automation initiatives for reporting and analytics
• Define and promote best practices in BI development, fostering a self‑service analytics culture with strong governance and quality standards
• Partner with Finance teams to understand requirements, streamline workflows, and create automated data visualization and reporting solutions grounded in a single source of truth
• Collaborate with the Data Products team to translate cross‑functional business requirements into actionable data product specifications
• Stay current with BI and analytics trends, adopting innovative tools and methodologies to improve reporting, automation, and data storytelling
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives to identify reporting requirements and enhance analytical capabilities across the organization
• Continuously improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and analytical methodologies through process optimization
• Work collaboratively with project teams to define goals, establish KPIs, and deliver results on time

Desired Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting, with proven success in delivering data‑driven insights and solutions
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with Teradata and BigQuery for enterprise‑scale data management and analytics
• Experience in developing and optimizing datasets, dashboards, and reports using Qlik or Looker platforms
• Demonstrated success in driving large‑scale adoption of self‑service analytics and enabling business teams to access insights independently
• Strong background in financial analytics, supporting Finance teams with automated reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Deep understanding of business intelligence disciplines, including data engineering, analysis, visualization, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
• Experience working in modern cloud‑based data warehouse environments, leveraging advanced tools and technologies
• Proven ability to lead change, deliver measurable results, and thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments
• Proactive problem solver with strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills
• Familiarity with advanced data and technology ecosystems

Pay Range

The approximate pay range for this position is between $34.00 and $49.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
