In the Role

Our Expert Tutors are role models for students studying in our Business Intelligence Analytics program. They mentor students, assist with difficult concepts and assignments, and teach the skills necessary to become a proficient BIA professional.

They guide students through the program and into their future careers, ensuring all students benefit regardless of their background.

What you will do

As an Expert Tutor, you will be a core part of the students' educational process and will:

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis/Data Analysis with large-scale data sets, creating dashboards, reports, and presentations with compelling visuals using BI tools.
• Can explain topics in Excel, SQL, statistics, mathematics, and data visualization tools in an understandable way for students.
• Possess advanced SQL skills, including manipulating complex databases, creating temporary views, and functions.
• Are a professional user of Tableau and Power BI (ideally confident with both).
• Have 2+ years of experience working in the US tech industry.
• Are available to dedicate 10-15 hours per week (or slightly more if desired), sometimes including weekends.

Preferred Experience

• Teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience with other BI tools (Looker, QlikView, Grafana, Streamlit, Google Analytics, etc.).
• Programming experience in Python or R.
• Experience with analytics pipelines, ETL processes using Python, Airflow, dbt, or similar data integration/scheduling tools.
• Personal experience as an online learner and a desire to help create an excellent learning environment for Business Intelligence Analysis.
