Job summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst, Trust and Safety at TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC will serve as the analytical engine for our USDS operations, building and maintaining dashboards, monitoring queue health, and surfacing risk signals to enable rapid, data-driven decisions.

You will lead RCAs, translate complex datasets into actionable insights, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting infrastructure and data quality across internal teams and BPO partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data analysis, BI, operations analytics, or similar quantitative role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying complex datasets.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Strong Excel/analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to conduct root cause analysis.

Trust and Safety Operations is a pivotal team within U.S. Data Security. We strive to enable TikTok to become the most trusted and secure platform in the US through operational excellence in content moderation via innovations in technology, optimization in processes and investment in people. We ensure that we enforce our policies based on our community guidelines and we take appropriate actions in a timely manner to minimize risks on our platform to our users and advertisers.

Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst, Trust and Safety is the analytical engine for our USDS operations teams. You will be the visibility and analysis layer that monitors queue health, surfaces critical risk signals, and provides the data-driven foundation for our operational reviews.

Your mission is to ensure that our leadership team has timely, accurate, and actionable data to make informed decisions. You will not only maintain our reporting infrastructure but will also be responsible for finding the \"story\" in the data, supporting root cause analyses, and driving projects that enhance our analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Proactive Monitoring

• Own and manage the full suite of operational dashboards and reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and effectively communicate the health of our operations.
• Develop and implement a proactive alerting system to flag performance anomalies, SLA breaches, and emerging risks in real-time, enabling a rapid response.
• Continuously improve and expand our dashboard coverage to provide a comprehensive view of all critical workflows and agent performance.

Deep-Dive Analysis and Insights

• Lead analytical deep-dives and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to investigate performance issues, understand trends, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Translate complex datasets into compelling insights and narratives for a variety of audiences, from front-line managers to leadership.
• Partner with operational teams to understand their challenges and proactively identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis.

Data Governance and Standardization

• Serve as the central POC for driving key operational metrics, responsible for standardizing the logic, definitions, and calculations across all internal teams and BPO partners.
• Create and maintain a clear data dictionary to ensure consistency and a shared understanding of our KPIs.
• Perform regular audits of our data and reporting to ensure the highest level of data integrity.

Insights-Driven Projects

• Lead and support strategic projects aimed at improving our reporting infrastructure, analytical models, and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Data Science, Engineering, and BPO analytics teams, to scope requirements and execute on projects.
• Manage stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle, from initial scoping to final delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, operations analyst, or a similar quantitative role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying complex datasets.
• Expertise with a data visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
• Strong command of Excel or similar platforms for data manipulation and analysis and a deep-seated passion for data, with a strong aptitude for structured problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, an unwavering commitment to data accuracy, and proven ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with a talent for presenting complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• A proactive and self-motivated work style with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience managing projects and effectively collaborating with a range of partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, global operations environment (e.g., Trust & Safety, Customer Support, FinTech).
• Familiarity with operational metrics (e.g., Service Level Agreements, Average Handle Time, Quality measurement methodologies).
• Experience with a scripting language like Python (Pandas) or R for data analysis.
