Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union seeks a data analyst to support business decisions through quantitative and qualitative analysis. You will develop reports and dashboards, translate data into actionable recommendations, and partner with stakeholders to drive operational improvements.

With 3+ years of analytics experience, you will use BI tools to visualize trends, perform root cause analyses, and present findings to mid-level management. This on-site role in Vienna, VA offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting with the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support business performance.
  • Basic understanding of business and operating environment and how data-driven decisions contribute to organizational results.
  • Effective skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services to develop reporting solutions that support business objectives.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Effective skill using statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis to support informed decision-making and business results.
  • Working knowledge of various data structures and the ability to manipulate data within visualization tools to uncover insights and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard procedures to create and/or update moderately complex reports and dashboards that provide visibility into business performance and support operational decision-making.
  • Identify and analyze trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations in order to support business decisions and contribute to improved business outcomes.
  • Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems, helping stakeholders take informed action to improve results.
  • Communicate findings and insights to peers and mid-level management, providing data-driven recommendations that support business objectives and operational effectiveness.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements, ensuring deliverables address key business priorities and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives, contributing analytical support that helps achieve desired business outcomes.

Support business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Analyze business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources. Developing an understanding of business needs and objectives and translating data into actionable recommendations that drive operational improvements and business results. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques.
