Business Intelligence Analyst
First Due is searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong, technical understanding of business analytic tools to join our product team and lead the creation of embedded, production-grade analytical workbooks using Sigma Computing . This role is central to delivering advanced, interactive visual experiences that surface meaningful insights to our users directly within our SaaS platform providing end-to-end support to public safety agencies across North America.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relational databases, experience building data models using BI software tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Sigma Computing, etc.), and the ability to design and implement sophisticated user-driven analytical features such as configurable KPIs, parameterized calculations, and flexible data views. You’ll work cross-functionally with First Due teams to translate complex analytical needs into visually compelling, high-performance dashboards and workbooks that support critical user requirements. These assets will be highly visible, production -embedded elements of our product and must balance analytical depth with polished UX and visual design.
The Role:
As a Business Intelligance Analyst, you will:
· Design and build interactive, embedded Sigma Computing workbooks for external end-users
· Create flexible data models and parameterized logic to support advanced, configurable KPIs
· Create reusable components (charts, filters, controls) that respond to user input
· Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure high usability and visual polish
· Ensure workbooks perform well on large datasets and across diverse user scenarios
· Translate business logic and product requirements into scalable analytical outputs
· Stay current with Sigma platform capabilities and BI best practices
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven experience with Sigma Computing or similar BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
· Fundamental SQL skills and understanding of relational data modeling
· Experience designing complex dashboards with user interactivity and configurable logic
· Background in data analytics, statistics, or a related field
· Ability to balance visual design, performance, and analytical accuracy
· Familiarity with embedding BI tools in SaaS applications is a strong plus
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
