Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Limited in Irvine, CA seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to drive Power BI dashboards, reporting, data modeling, and automation. You will partner with Operations, Marketing and Sales to translate needs into analytics solutions and deliver data‑driven insights.

The role reports to the BI Manager and emphasizes collaboration, requirements gathering, and scalable BI design. Candidates should have strong BI and SQL skills and reside in California.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (Finance, Economics, Statistical Analysis)
  • 3‑5 years of experience in business intelligence, data modeling & reporting using BI software
  • Advanced skills in PowerBI, Power Query, and DAX
  • Working knowledge of Power Apps, including the ability to support or enhance existing canvas and model‑driven apps
  • Familiarity with AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Ability to understand and create SQL queries for data manipulation, data extraction, analysis
  • Experience designing and developing dashboards and reporting metrics using PowerBI
  • Experience supporting analytics needs for Operations, Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices to effectively display quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience and understanding of Data Modeling to support analytic needs
  • Ability to understand business questions and translate those business questions into analytics
  • Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Manage competing deadlines as well as variances in schedules and resources
  • Understanding of Project Management methodologies; Scrum, Agile, Kanban
  • Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, look‑ups, advanced formulas, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on Power BI dashboard development, reporting, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline workflows, improve business processes, and reduce manual work.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to convert ideas and business requirements into meaningful dashboard designs and data requirements.
  • Build deep knowledge of the organization’s operating model, including revenue generation, sales strategy, and sales compensation structures.
  • Prepare and maintain BI reporting and analysis documentation.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance BI system performance and capacity.
  • Create and manage Microsoft Power Platform assets including PowerBI Reports, Data Sets (Semantic model), Data Flows, Power Automate, Workspaces, Apps, and Row Level Security.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology solutions to improve processes, strengthen business strategies, and streamline reporting through automation.
  • Define, create, and apply standards across analytic needs.
  • Develop and implement BI solutions that support the monitoring of data quality and integrity.
  • Apply predictive analytics to provide customer‑level reporting.

Business Intelligence Analyst – Irvine, CA

Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This role will primarily focus on Power BI development, including dashboard creation, reporting, data modeling, and data visualization. The analyst will partner with multiple business units and leadership teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into effective BI solutions, and drive process improvements using Power Automate, Power Apps, and AI‑enabled tools.

This role will report to the Business Intelligence Manager and is based out of our Irvine, California office.

Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for candidates is $90,000‑$110,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a multi‑state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
