Job description

You are a skilled Business Installation and Repair Technician who utilizes your experience to install and maintain various telecommunication systems. You are looking for an opportunity to build upon your skillset in the ever-growing business “internet of things” market and develop within a large organization. You believe in building trust with all of those with whom you work. You enjoy traveling while also providing a best-in-class approach to customer service.

You will be home based and provided with a company truck and tools to be dispatched to jobs for our clients in the Greenville, SC area.

As a Field Technician, you will be part of a fast-paced customer-focused culture that provides the opportunity to work in a self-managed work environment, by performing installations and repairs of telecommunications services.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Install and maintain various voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment.
  2. Building on your customer service skills, you will ensure work orders are completed.
  3. Drive to and from customer locations in a defined geographic area performing installation of services on behalf of our client.
  4. Utilize a laptop computer and various software applications.

Qualifications:

  1. One to five years of experience working with telecommunication networks or similar electrical fields.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Experience working independently and a strong technical aptitude.
  4. Experience working with Cisco systems or similar equipment manufacturers.

Working Conditions:

  1. Travel will be required with a company-provided vehicle.
  2. Home-based dispatching role.
  3. Will be asked to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights and in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, as well as in all types of weather conditions (that are deemed safe).
  4. Weekend and on-call work required as needed.
