Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Manager

Company : The Boeing Company

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated cybersecurity professional to join the Information Digital Technology & Security team as a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Manager in Arlington, VA .

The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Manager will lead and oversee a team of internationally located BISOs. The BISO Manager will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information assets, developing and implementing security policies and procedures, and managing security risks across our global operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of information security principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Fosters an environment for individual development, teamwork, effective performance management and open communication
  • Manages employees performing information security technical activities in accordance with international cybersecurity policies and regulations
  • Supports efforts necessary to obtain / maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO) and inspection readiness
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of subordinates and other stakeholders and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Assists and leads in the interview and selection process of new employees

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

  • 5+ years of experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams on large-scale technology development programs
  • 3+ years of experience working with cybersecurity policies and implementation of international cybersecurity regulations (e.g. Australia ISM, KSA ECC, NIS2, EASA Part-IS, etc.)
  • Experience in conflict resolution and / or mediation
  • Experience in positions where meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and quality was paramount
  • Experience in leading teams and team development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Currently hold certification in good standing to satisfy IAM Level III (CISSP, GSLC, or CISM)
  • Experience with project management in a leadership capacity
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Experience working with a Government Agency in a compliance capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to communicate well with team members, customers and leadership

Summary pay range : $128,350 - $173,650
