Job summary

Abbott is seeking a senior-level process improvement lead within the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. The role drives cross-functional BPI initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing and supply chain processes.

You will manage strategic projects, mentor teams, and ensure lasting change through structured project management and kaizen activities across the division. Based in Sylmar, CA with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business.
• Minimum 9 years experience; knowledge of Lean tools (standard work, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) required.
• Experience delivering significant strategic results for Business Process Improvement initiatives.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This senior level process Improvement role is responsible for the execution and ongoing management of business excellence initiatives. Working within the Operations organization, the role leads strategic, complex process improvement projects in conjunction with division goals and imperatives for improving manufacturing and supply chain business processes. The role is accountable for delivering strategic results from the application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, problem solving tools, as well as implementation of solution via effective change management and project management with cross-functional teams.

Education

Non-Degree Program (Business or Engineering preferred) or An equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience/Background Preferred Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business Minimum 9 years Knowledge of Lean tools such as standard work, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen is required. Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional change. Experience delivering significant strategic results for Business Process Improvement initiatives.
