What you'll do:

As the Business Escrow Services Associate, you will be part of the Business Escrow Services team and provide day-to-day support for internal and external clients. You will work closely with the BES internal departments to deliver accurate, timely, and outstanding service to our clients.
  • Manage incoming telephone and email inquiries for securityholder questions pertaining to technology log-in and the online document execution process
  • May assist Payment Execution Team in callback verifications for any wire details needed
  • May assist in initiating payments to shareholders or clients
  • Research and understand return payments, collect updated payment instructions and reissue
  • Gain familiarity with daily reconciliation, quarterly interest releases and invoicing to assist when primary associate is out of office
  • Research and respond to securityholder questions, update payment processing and promptly resolve client issues
  • Support Relationship Managers by acting as a solicitation liaison directly with counsel to update securityholder records and create solicitation status reports
  • Serve as the lead point for reviewing Executed Agreements received from counsel for completeness and accuracy
  • Taking lead with communicating inaccuracies and perform follow-up to ensure corrections are complete
  • Technology setup for new Escrow and Paying Agent deals and adding external client access to the Gateway Client Portal
  • Review and create tickler reminders for actionable items listed in executed agreements

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a four-year college or university and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in escrow and paying agent roles such as:
    • Familiarity with escrow agreements
    • Familiarity with legal documentation and entity structures
    • Experience providing escrow agreement feedback to attorneys.
  • Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets and data mining/gathering. Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of financial markets and trends.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Must be detailed oriented and adhere to time-sensitive tasks .
