Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to contribute to our New York City market, focusing on core & shell, hospitality, mixed-use, and workplace projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and oversee less experienced designers and engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring project success.
  • Lead design efforts from concept through completion, including preparing design documents and performing engineering calculations.
  • Train, mentor, and provide leadership to design staff, potentially supervising others directly.
  • Develop solutions to complex engineering challenges and ensure project deliverables meet scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and company practices, and uphold engineering standards.
  • Oversee project quality through review processes and regular check-ins, including final reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred; 11+ years of relevant experience or 13+ years without degree; PE license may count towards experience.
  • Experience with NYC Local Laws 84, 88, and 97 compliance.
  • Expertise in electrical building infrastructure design, all-electric systems, renewable energy, and feasibility studies.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Ability to work in our NYC office at least 3 days per week, with 2 days remote.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE license, LEED, WELL accreditation, and experience with industrial projects.
