Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate for 9-12 Business
• Ability to communicate effectively with personnel, students, and patrons
• Knowledge of informal and formal assessment procedures and curriculum standards

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning within district resources.
• Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Assists administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and develops reasonable classroom rules and procedures.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives clearly in lessons.
• Employs instructional methods and materials appropriate for meeting objectives.
• Strives to implement district philosophy of education, curriculum, and objectives.
• Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Maintains records as required by law and policy.
• Upholds and enforces school rules and regulations.
• Makes provision for availability to students and parents for education-related purposes outside instructional day.
