Forgen is seeking a Water Practice Lead to drive the Texas and South-Central U.S. water market presence. You will lead client engagement, pursue opportunities, and guide delivery strategies for flood control, coastal resilience, and water storage projects.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years in water infrastructure, strong BD skills, and established Texas relationships. Travel regionally and lead a growing water practice for a premier geotechnical and specialty civil contractor.
The Forgen Water Practice Lead is a senior-level role responsible for building and leading Forgen's water sector presence across Texas and the broader South-Central U.S. market. This individual will serve as a client-facing business development leader and market authority — bringing deep expertise in flood control, coastal resilience, and water storage and conveyance infrastructure to position Forgen as a go-to construction partner for complex, high-consequence water projects.
The Water Practice Lead will establish and grow relationships with key clients including municipal flood control districts, state and federal agencies, and engineering firms; develop and own the regional water sector opportunity pipeline; and collaborate with Forgen's operations and estimating teams to convert pursuits into awarded work. This role is ideally suited for a candidate coming from an organization with recognized water infrastructure experience across Texas and the Gulf Coast region.

This role is primarily office- and travel-based, with regular visits to project sites, client offices, and industry events throughout Texas and the South-Central U.S. Site visits may involve walking on uneven terrain, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and occasional use of PPE.
