Job Overview
The Business Development Strategist Principal is responsible for developing and executing strategies for business growth, contracting, and marketing support. This role involves tracking, analytics, and collaboration with internal departments including sales, marketing, account management, clinical, product development, legal, and contracting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for RFP question development and assist proposal writers with SME support.
- Support Prime's Sales and Marketing teams in achieving enterprise growth objectives.
- Work with business development leaders to identify new strategies, attend internal prospect meetings, review proposals and contracts, and update presentations.
- Collaborate with external consultants and industry contacts.
- Develop product sales strategies to support product adoption within existing client accounts.
- Maintain and update external marketing materials such as slide decks, publications, and client lists.
- Represent Prime at external summits and conferences to gather market insights.
- Prepare and deliver monthly pipeline reports and business development scorecards to leadership.
- Coordinate with operational SMEs to understand Prime's operational capabilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in Managed Care, Medicare Part D, or Health Plans.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with strategic foresight.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience delivering presentations to leadership and SMEs.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Part D and proven strategy or sales support success.
Additional Qualifications
- Possession of an MBA, PharmD, or similar advanced degree.
- Knowledge of CRM tools.
Physical and Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time and operate office equipment.
- Effective communication abilities essential for interaction and information exchange.
Employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Salary range: $108,000 - $184,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
