Job Description
The Business Development Strategist Principal is responsible for developing and executing business development, contracting, and marketing support to drive client growth and retention. This involves systematic tracking, comprehensive analytics, and internal stakeholder coordination. The role collaborates with multiple internal departments including sales, marketing, account management, clinical, product development, legal, and contracting.
Responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact for RFP question development and assist proposal writers with SME support.
- Support Prime's Sales and Marketing teams to achieve enterprise growth goals.
- Collaborate with business development leaders to identify new strategies, attend internal meetings related to prospects, review proposals and contracts, and update presentations.
- Work with external consultants and industry partners.
- Develop Product Sales strategy to support product adoption with existing clients.
- Maintain and update external materials such as slide decks, publications, and client lists.
- Attend external summits or conferences for market research.
- Develop and deliver monthly pipeline reports and business development scorecards to leadership.
- Coordinate with operational SMEs to understand enterprise capabilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years' experience in Managed Care, Medicare Part D, or Health Plans.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to leadership.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Part D and proven strategy/support track record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees such as MBA or PharmD.
- Knowledge of CRM tools.
Physical Qualifications
- Travel up to 20%.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively.
All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Potential salary ranges from $108,000 to $184,000, based on experience.
