Job description

A globally prominent and rapidly growing industrial manufacturing and processing organization seeks to hire a Senior Sales/Applications Engineer due to their continued growth. Reporting to the Director of North American Sales, this newly created role will be responsible for developing new business within the Southwestern US region (CA, CO, AZ, NM, NV, UT). This is a full-time, direct-hire position that is fully remote (with travel) in nature.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify and cultivate new customer opportunities, building a strong pipeline of prospects across targeted industries and geographic regions.
  • Expand business within existing accounts by understanding evolving customer requirements and aligning company capabilities to those needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and R&D teams to translate customer application requirements into viable technical and commercial solutions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through proposal, contract negotiation, and close, ensuring revenue and profit objectives are met.
  • Gather and analyze market and competitor intelligence to inform strategic growth plans and long-term customer relationships.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering/Technical preferred).
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and communicate complex requirements and production capabilities.
  • Ability to translate customer application requirements into product performance attributes with an inventive, problem‑solving mindset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within geographic region.
