Job summary

A defense contracting firm is looking for a Business Development Intern to support their efforts in engaging prospective clients and understanding government contracting processes. The intern will assist in recruiting and creating job descriptions, conducting competitive research, and networking. A Bachelor's degree is preferred along with relevant military experience. The position is based in Tampa, Florida with remote work opportunities available.

• Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
• Experience as SOF operator or enabler is beneficial.

Job Objective

The business development intern will assist the Lukos business development efforts by engaging with prospective clients, understanding the industry market, understanding the Federal contracting and acquisitions process, and assisting in the recruiting of employees or subject matter experts to assist in the capture of government contracts.

• Engage potential and current teammates for information gathering and networking
• Conduct competitive research and risk analysis
• Engage with HR and recruiting to create job descriptions and screen candidates
