Planet Technologies is seeking a Power Platform Sales Manager to drive growth in the public sector, expanding Power Platform and Business Applications with existing accounts and new opportunities. This role opens doors, builds relationships, and partners with Microsoft to reach and serve customers.

The position emphasizes business outcomes over technology, requires collaboration across teams, and may involve travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience selling Power Platform or low-code solutions to Microsoft tech stack.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value for CIOs and IT leaders.
• Proven track record generating and closing new pipeline.
• Experience working with State/Local Government, Healthcare, Education is a plus.

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Power Platform Sales Manager. This result driven seller is energized by opening doors and building relationships to expand Planet’s Power Platform and Business Applications practice by expanding relationships with existing customers alongside our account teams, driving new business development, and partnering with Microsoft to reach and serve their customers.

Responsibilities

This role drives growth across three complementary sales motions:

• New business development – generates net-new pipeline opportunities and revenue through outbound prospecting, marketing campaigns, referrals, and presence at industry conferences and networking events.
• Business expansion – expand current customer relationships and grow Power Platform opportunities.
• Microsoft Partnership – collaborate with Microsoft field and Business Applications teams to identify and serve their customers, leveraging co-sell programs such as Copilot + Power Accelerate where applicable.

Across these motions, you will:

• Position Planet’s Power Platform professional services to help customers accelerate their application backlog and consolidate legacy or third‑party platforms.
• Identify and qualify high‑value low‑code scenarios such as legacy system replacement, process automation, Smartsheet/SharePoint/Excel modernization, external portals via Power Pages, and AI‑infused solutions using Copilot Studio and AI Builder.
• Lead with business outcomes over technology, translating low‑code capabilities into value for business and IT decision makers (CIO, IT Director, business process owners).
• Develop, maintain, and grow meaningful relationships with customers, partners, and Microsoft teams that expand Planet’s reach and create new opportunities.
• Partner across the organization in the identification, development, and prompt delivery of SOWs and RFX responses tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Provide timely, accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting to leadership, executing in accordance with Planet’s established sales methods, processes, and tools.
• Meet or exceed bookings and pipeline‑generation targets by prospecting, qualifying, and driving opportunities to close.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Sales experience in Microsoft technology sales selling Power Platform, Business Applications, or low-code/custom application development services across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365.
• A functional understanding of how Power Platform and low-code/custom applications benefit development with Microsoft technology landscape
• Proven success driving “top of the funnel” sales activity, expansion of an existing customer base and mining internal data to meet or exceed pipeline expectations
• The ability to prioritize leads and optimize opportunities thinking creatively about how to address and build customer connections to drive Planet adoption
• Proven experience originating and influencing opportunities with current customers and the ability to reengage dormant customers
• Experience developing meaningful partner and channel relationships that generate pipeline and accelerate deals.
• Previous success as an Account Executive, Technical Seller who works collaboratively within a larger team to drive existing or business toward Power Platform opportunities
• Experience working with clients in State and Local Government, Healthcare, Education, or the Manufacturing/Defense Industrial Base is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical low‑code capabilities into business value and to lead outcome-based conversations with business and IT decision makers.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the judgment to know what and when to expand.
• A collaborative team player with a customer‑success mindset and a high level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or comparable work experience.
