Responsibilities

• Referral & Community Outreach: Build relationships, conduct outreach visits, represent Proficio at events, develop referral pipelines.
• Insurance & Provider Relations: Strengthen relationships with insurance case managers and networks, support families.
• Clinic Growth Support: Partner with Clinic Directors to understand capacity and growth goals; identify partnership opportunities; assist launch campaigns.
• Marketing & Brand Visibility: Collaborate with marketing to gather local stories and content; ensure brand consistency in outreach.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain communication with leadership and clinical teams; participate in strategy meetings.

The Business Development Representative will play a key role in expanding Proficio’s footprint across Salt Lake City and South Jordan. This role focuses on building strong referral networks, increasing brand visibility, and driving client growth across both clinics. The ideal candidate is relationship driven, proactive, and comfortable engaging with pediatricians, preschools, public schools, and insurance partners.This is an in person, community focused role requiring regular travel across the Salt Lake Valley.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReferral & Community OutreachBuild and maintain strong relationships with pediatricians, family medicine providers, developmental specialists, preschools, public schools, and community organizations.Conduct regular outreach visits to promote Proficio’s ABA, Speech, and OT services.Represent Proficio at community events, resource fairs, school meetings, and professional gatherings.Develop referral pipelines for both the Salt Lake City ABA clinic and the new South Jordan multidisciplinary clinic.Insurance & Provider RelationsStrengthen relationships with insurance case managers, care coordinators, and provider networks to increase referral flow.Support families and clinics by ensuring smooth communication with insurance partners.Clinic Growth SupportPartner with Clinic Directors and operational teams to understand capacity, service offerings, and growth goals.Identify new partnership opportunities in surrounding cities and emerging communities.Support launch activities for the South Jordan clinic, including outreach campaigns and community awareness efforts.Marketing & Brand VisibilityCollaborate with the marketing team to gather local stories, photos, and content that highlight clinic impact.Ensure consistent brand representation across all outreach activities.Provide feedback on local trends, community needs, and competitive insights.Cross Functional CollaborationMaintain strong communication with leadership, clinical teams, and business development leadership.Participate in weekly or monthly strategy meetings to review progress and refine outreach plans.Track outreach activities, follow ups, and referral outcomes to support data driven decision making.QUALIFICATIONSExperience in business development, community outreach, healthcare marketing, or related fields preferred.Strong communication and relationship building skills.Comfortable presenting to groups and engaging with diverse community partners.Organized, self driven, and able to manage outreach schedules independently.Passion for serving children and families; alignment with Proficio’s mission and values.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the Salt Lake Valley.WORK MODELPrimarily in person across Salt Lake City, South Jordan, and surrounding communities.Equal Employment OpportunityProficio Therapy Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed to building a team that represents the racial, ethnic and linguistic needs of our clients.
