Role Highlights

The Business Development Representative (covering OR, WA, and Northern CA) is responsible for driving profitable sales growth and expanding business relationships within assigned territories and accounts. This role focuses approximately 80% of its time on engaging with small to midsize businesses and prospects through outbound calls, virtual meetings, product presentations, trade shows, and local industry events to generate new opportunities. Responsibilities include tracking and reporting sales activities, nurturing leads, executing sales and marketing campaigns, and preparing quotes and proposals. The role works closely with the Vice President of Business Development and Regional Account Executives to ensure strategic alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the promotional products and/or apparel industry with a successful sales track record.
  • Use a data-driven approach to drive sales within small to midsize customer markets.
  • Conduct sales calls with key contacts to present and quote products, explain decoration details, and promote Vantage Apparel’s brands and services.
  • Identify opportunities, offer tailored solutions, and resolve conflicts at all levels within distributor companies.
  • Proactively nurture existing relationships and develop new prospects.
  • Follow-up regularly on quotes, opportunities, large orders, and service challenges to maintain engagement.
  • Consistently meet and exceed KPI standards to achieve sales goals.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with virtual teams.
  • Demonstrate creativity, positivity, and problem-solving skills.

  • Have reliable access to transportation.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Development or at least three years of relevant sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
