We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR), Food & Beverage Industry to join our team in the US (Remote). This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with a high-energy, collaborative team to identify and connect with potential customers in one of the most dynamic sectors in the market.

As we expand our reach in the food and beverage industry, we’re hiring a skilled BDR to strategically target high-potential prospects, generate qualified opportunities, and support the growth of our sales pipeline. You’ll be a key player in uncovering new business and setting the stage for long-term customer success.

About the Role

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and engaging with decision-makers at targeted food and beverage companies, understanding their needs, and positioning Aptean’s solutions as the right fit. This role will focus on outbound prospecting, nurturing inbound leads, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

You will
  1. Research, identify, and target prospective food and beverage companies in North America.
  2. Proactively engage prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry events to build interest and secure qualified discovery meetings.
  3. Collaborate closely with Account Executives to develop targeted account strategies.
  4. Understand industry pain points and position Aptean solutions in alignment with customer needs.
  5. Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, account data, and pipeline in Salesforce.
  6. Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity generation targets.
  7. Stay informed about food and beverage industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity to enhance prospecting effectiveness.
About You
  1. 3–5 years of business development, inside sales, or lead generation experience in a software/SaaS environment (ERP or supply chain software experience preferred).
  2. Familiarity with the food and beverage industry—including manufacturing, processing, or distribution—is a strong plus.
  3. Proven success in generating qualified pipeline and supporting revenue growth.
  4. Excellent communication and active listening skills; comfortable speaking with both technical users and senior executives.
  5. Strong research and account mapping skills to identify and target the right decision-makers.
  6. Proficient in Salesforce (or other CRM tools) and comfortable leveraging sales engagement tools.
  7. Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
