Job summary

ISEC, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Representative – Data Centers to drive client relationships and sales for data center scopes, including interior and architectural finishes, in hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise markets.

This role supports projects nationwide and may be based in Dallas–Fort Worth, the DMV, or Chicago with travel as needed. You will develop sales strategies, qualify leads, present proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful handoffs to estimating and

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in construction or data center markets.
  • Experience selling to General Contractors and Owners.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Strong closing and negotiation skills.
  • CRM experience and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve national sales and revenue goals and objectives.
  • Drive current and new client relationships and sales for ISEC scopes of work within mission-critical environments.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and respond to customer requests.
  • Qualify project leads using market data, trends and forecasting.
  • Prepare and deliver formal Sales presentations to clients.
  • Facilitate bid proposals and document controls through the sales lifecycle.
  • Develop sales strategies by assessing risks, logistics, and contracts.
  • Close large contracts and hand off to estimating and operations.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to minimize risk and maximize profit.
  • Prepare and finalize bid proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms for ISEC.
  • Provide pre-construction architectural assistance and budget support.
  • Perform project follow-up, status tracking, and price recaps.
  • Travel as necessary.

The Business Development Representative – Data Centers is responsible for driving client relationships and sales for ISEC scopes of work in mission-critical and data center environments, including architectural woodwork, doors, frames and hardware, specialties, and related interior scopes, supporting projects within hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.

This role may be based in Dallas-Fort Worth, the DMV area, or Chicago.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for achieving national sales and revenue goals and objectives.
  • Drive current and new client relationships and sales for ISEC scopes of work within mission-critical and data center environments, including many interior and exterior scopes.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service which includes responding effectively to customer requests, resolving issues, and meeting all commitments in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes market data, trends and forecasting to qualify project leads.
  • Prepare and deliver formal Sales presentations to clients.
  • Facilitate bid proposal and document controls throughout the sales life cycle and provide proper turnover to estimating and operations.
  • Develop an overall sales strategy by assessing project risks, logistics, contract documents, vendors, subcontractors and competitors.
  • Proven track record of executing all steps to develop and close large contracts.
  • Develop and communicate strategies utilizing internal teams to minimize risk and maximize profit and closure opportunities.
  • Prepare and finalize bid proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate on ISEC's behalf for the best possible contract terms.
  • Provide pre-construction architectural assistance and budget support to clients.
  • Perform all necessary project follow-up, status tracking, closure and price recaps.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (in Addition To Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Sales Training or Certifications
Knowledge/Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of ISEC product lines
  • Developing the ability to close and negotiate work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3-5 years of experience meeting or exceeding sales goals in construction
  • Experience in construction sales within data center or other mission-critical environments
  • Established network of General Contractors and Owners active in data center markets.
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Proven relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing projects in a CRM system
  • Excellent track record of negotiating, relationship building and closing construction sales opportunities
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Bluebeam and PowerPoint.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a team member
