Business Development Representative – Credit & Data Sales

DataVue is a fast-growing provider of credit and mortgage data solutions used by lenders, agencies, and marketers to drive customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation. Our leadership team brings decades of success in data-driven marketing—and now we’re scaling fast with a focus on getting into more doors, more often.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a pure-play sales hunter who thrives on building pipeline, prospecting hard, and closing deals. This is not a strategic or account management role—it’s all about generating net-new revenue through relentless outreach, relationship building, and a deep understanding of how to sell credit and mortgage data and marketing solutions.

You’ll be responsible for identifying, contacting, and converting prospects into new clients—primarily in financial services, lending, and performance marketing sectors. The ideal candidate is driven, independent, and experienced in selling data to decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect Relentlessly: Generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events.
  • Book Meetings & Close Deals: Run a high volume of sales conversations weekly, focused on driving the pipeline and closing new logos.
  • Sell Data-Driven Solutions: Pitch and explain credit data, prescreen services, and predictive targeting to personal loan, mortgage, debt consolidation, and agency prospects.
  • Maintain CRM Hygiene: Keep records accurate and up-to-date in the CRM, including outreach, meeting notes, and forecast updates.
  • Hit and Exceed Targets: Own and deliver against aggressive monthly and quarterly quotas.
  • Travel to Close: Attend in-person meetings, conferences, and networking events to develop relationships and close business.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of business development or outside sales experience, ideally selling credit data, prescreen, or lead generation services
  • Proven track record of consistent quota attainment in a hunter role
  • Existing relationships in lending, fintech, mortgage, or direct marketing industries
  • Strong understanding of credit data, prescreen criteria, and compliance (FCRA, TCPA, etc.)
  • Independent, self-motivated, and accountable with a “feet on the street” mindset
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and traveling as needed

Preferred:

  • Background with credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) or data resellers (Deluxe, Altaire, etc.)
  • Experience in a fast-growth or early-stage environment
  • High energy, persistent, and eager to prove ROI through results
