The Business Development Representative supports Cumberland Heights’ mission of transforming lives by fostering hope and healing for those affected by addiction.

Position Summary

The role involves driving company growth through strategic planning, relationship-building, and opportunity identification. Responsibilities include exploring new markets, forming partnerships, and developing strategies to expand Cumberland Heights’ presence locally and nationally. Key tasks involve market research, opportunity generation, and maintaining long-term relationships with accounts and stakeholders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Market professionals in assigned areas to develop positive relationships.
  • Conduct tours, luncheons, and presentations for potential clients.
  • Represent Cumberland Heights at conferences and events.
  • Engage in community outreach, including trainings, conferences, workshops, and support groups.
  • Maintain regular contact with prospects through calls and face-to-face meetings, keeping records and following up.
  • Assist with pre-screening and coordinate assessments and referrals.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and report generation.
  • Create monthly marketing reports.
  • Ensure a welcoming and safe environment for patients and families.
  • Suggest improvements to service delivery.
  • Handle company funds properly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Adapt productively to change and perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of marketing experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SATIS.
  • Ability to de-escalate crises calmly and supportively.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment options and Twelve Step philosophy.
  • Understanding of cultural and demographic factors affecting patient care.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams courteously and effectively.
  • If in recovery, at least two years of abstinence and active participation in Twelve Step programs preferred.
Work Environment
  • Office setting with safety precautions.
  • Frequent contact with individuals in crisis, requiring safety awareness.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or eligibility required.
  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate campus terrain.
  • Ability to speak, hear, see, sit, walk, stand, reach, and use motor skills.
