Position Overview:

As a business development respresentative at Smoothstack, you will play a pivotal role in net new relationships with enterprise-level leaders. You will own and help manage the prospecting to closing, working closely with cross-functional teams to present tailored IT services and workforce solutions. Your role will be critical in building long-lasting partnerships, meeting revenue targets, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Client Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts through cross-sell and upsell strategies, ensuring clients continue to receive value as their needs evolve.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with Smoothstack’s growth objectives, ensuring you meet and exceed your sales targets and quotas.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and services to clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage and track sales activities, forecast accurately, and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and overcome objections to successfully close deals, ensuring the best possible outcomes for both the client and Smoothstack.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of sales experience (e.g., sales, sales engineer, account management, customer success, leadership, consulting roles).
  • Experience in IT services, technology, or workforce solutions is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of the IT services and technology landscape, with the ability to explain how Smoothstack’s solutions meet client needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently, self-manage your schedule, and collaborate with remote teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and in data analytics.
