About Adapt

Every company will have a central company agent. Adapt is the platform for building, running, and governing it. We connect the models a company chooses to its systems, data, people, and workflows. With persistent memory, secure compute, deep integrations, reusable skills, and enterprise controls, Adapt helps the agent understand real context, complete real work, and improve over time.

We believe this infrastructure should be open, portable, secure, and controlled by the organizations that depend on it. Models will change. What a company builds with Adapt stays theirs. Join us in building the platform that will define how companies work with AI.

About The Role

We are hiring an early Business Development Representative to create high-quality sales opportunities with companies that can become great Adapt customers. You will combine account research, product and market signals, thoughtful outreach, and technical curiosity to open the right conversations.

You will find companies with a real reason to care about Adapt and earn the first serious conversation. That means researching accounts, reading product and market signals, writing outreach that shows judgment, and learning enough to identify a credible problem, champion, and next step. Your work is judged by whether your Account Executive accepts the opportunity and it advances, not by email volume or meetings booked. You own the journey from target-account research through a well-qualified handoff; the Account Executive owns deeper discovery and the opportunity after acceptance.

You will use AI deeply for research, signal detection, personalization, and experimentation without treating automation as a substitute for judgment or empathy.

What You Will Own
  • Account research and prioritization. Understand a company's business, team, systems, AI posture, likely workflows, relevant events, and buying committee before reaching out.
  • Signal-led outreach. Use product activity, website intent, hiring, funding, relationships, and market events to prioritize relevant outreach across email, LinkedIn, communities, and events.
  • Early qualification. Establish the trigger, problem, likely use case, account fit, initial champion, and next step before requesting sales acceptance.
  • Handoff quality. Give the Account Executive clear context on why the account engaged, what matters, who is involved, and what has already been learned.
  • Experimentation and feedback. Test research methods, AI-assisted workflows, messages, channels, and account plays while returning objections and market patterns to Sales, Marketing, and Product.
What Success Looks Like
  • You meet the agreed ramp target for sales-accepted opportunities and sourced qualified pipeline.
  • Your handoffs convert because they contain useful account, stakeholder, problem, and timing context.
  • You build repeatable, AI-assisted research and outbound workflows that improve relevance, learning speed, and accepted opportunities, and you can explain what signals, audiences, and messages are working.
What We Are Looking For
  • 1+ years in business development, sales development, recruiting, customer-facing work, or another high-accountability professional role
  • Strong concise writing and evidence that you can earn attention through thoughtful, personalized outreach
  • Curiosity about AI, developer tools, APIs, infrastructure, and how companies operate
  • An AI-native operating mindset: you are excited to test new tools, redesign your workflows, and continually improve how high-quality opportunities are created
  • Organization, follow-through, resilience, and high standards for CRM data
  • Experience selling or recruiting technical audiences
  • Experience building research, enrichment, or outbound automations
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation strategy including large equity grants for early hires at an early stage in the company's journey
  • Inclusive healthcare packages (medical, dental, vision)
  • Frontier AI access: Claude Code, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex, and most importantly unlimited internal use of Adapt itself

OTE: $100-130k. Actual offer depends on skills, experience, and location. Total comp also includes equity, benefits, and potential bonus or variable pay. Your recruiter will walk you through the details.
