American Lending Center LLC (ALC) is a private, non-bank lender based in Irvine, California. Established in 2009, ALC specializes in providing small and medium businesses debt financing through various government loan programs including SBA 504, SBA 7(a), and SSBCI programs. ALC is seeking a Senior Loan Manager to oversee and supervise the entire lending system of the company.

Job Summary

The Business Development Officer (SBA) will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with small business owners and entrepreneurs in need of financing. This role focuses on sourcing loan opportunities for purposes such as working capital, business acquisitions, expansions, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong network, a proven ability to develop new business, and a deep understanding of small business lending, including SBA 7(a) and SSBCI programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Networking: Proactively source and identify small business owners and entrepreneurs in need of financing solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential borrowers, referral partners, and industry professionals to drive loan opportunities.
  • Loan Program Expertise: Stay current on SBA 7(a) and SSBCI loan programs, advising potential borrowers on the best financing options for their needs.
  • Sales & Business Development: Conduct outreach efforts to expand the company’s loan portfolio, including attending networking events, conferences, and engaging in digital outreach.
  • Loan Application Process: Assist potential borrowers through the loan application process, ensuring they understand the requirements and providing guidance on documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (credit, underwriting, and operations) to ensure smooth loan processing and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or a similar role, ideally in lending, banking, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with small business loan products, especially SBA 7(a) and SSBCI programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse client bases.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong desire to achieve performance goals.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
