GenScript is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive and support sales efforts by implementing the sales and marketing strategies for GenScript's custom life science services. The Business Development Manager will use his/her knowledge of science and business including corporate contacts to develop and deliver profitable initiatives and build sales. This role will support the San Francisco Peninsula territory and the candidate should ideally reside within the Bay Area. The estimated base salary range is $90,000 - $105,000, based on experience level, before incentive pay. The Business Development Manager will also work cross functionally to build the GenScript brand.
The Business Development Manager will work 50% of the time doing account management, quote and lead follow-up, and 50% of the time traveling in the field making customer visits and attending virtual meetings. These customer engagements are crucial for building relationships to achieve the agreed monthly/quarterly/yearly sales goals.
