Business Development Manager (West Coast – Remote)

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you'll focus on developing new sales and managing the full sales cycle – from prospecting through close. We're looking for a driven “hunter” with a strong new business focus, someone who thrives on building relationships, navigating complex client needs, and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Identify client challenges and recommend tailored HR solutions that meet their specific needs
2. Prospect, develop, and close new sales—with a primary focus on the California market and flexibility to sell throughout the West Coast and nationally
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and referral partners
4. Conduct product demonstrations—with the help of internal partners—that highlight the value of AlphaStaff’s offerings
5. Lead all aspects of the sales cycle—from prospecting and networking to proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing
6. Represent AlphaStaff at industry events to expand your network and build brand awareness
7. Collaborate with sales leadership and marketing teams to support strategic initiatives and lead generation
8. Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets to support company growth

Qualifications:

1. Proven track record in selling complex HR solutions, preferably with experience in the California market
2. Strong relationship-building skills, especially with C-level executives
3. Self-starter with the ability to manage the complete sales process with minimal support from sales admin/ops
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a consultative sales approach
5. Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable working remotely and in the field
6. This is a remote position based on the West Coast
