Join our team as a Business Development Manager - Long-Term Care (LTC) and take your career to the next level! Under the guidance of the Director, Business Development for the Long-Term Care Segment, you will play a crucial role in prospecting for new customers within your designated area. Using your consultative selling skills, you will identify specific customer needs and craft comprehensive, impactful proposals that deliver tailored solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to present your offerings persuasively and secure Prime Vendor Contracts, transforming prospects into valued Cencora LTC customers. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, Account Executives, Key Account Directors, and SVP, Alternate Pharmacy Practice Sales and Business Expansion. Once a Prime Vendor Agreement is signed, you will work hand-in-hand with the LTC Account Executive and KAD to ensure a smooth transition and successful onboarding.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Developing productive business relationships with LTC Pharmacy prospects and new business opportunities that build trust and confidence in the Cencora value proposition.
  2. Demonstrating nuanced market, trade, and customer knowledge to build sales trust internally and externally.
  3. Collaborating with internal subject matter experts, stakeholders, operations, and sales team members to sell new business.
  4. Implementing prospecting strategies to maintain at least 12 active and profitable LTC Pharmacy opportunities in your pipeline.
  5. Utilizing consultative selling skills to uncover customer needs and develop tailored proposals.
  6. Presenting proposals effectively to move opportunities towards Prime Vendor Agreement signatures.
  7. Closing new LTC Pharmacy business annually to meet profit, revenue, and solution goals.
  8. Managing the sales pipeline efficiently to minimize customer time at each level and improve close times.
  9. Ensuring customers are operational and ordering before transitioning to the Account Executive.
  10. Maintaining strong industry knowledge through training, mentorship, and industry literature.
  11. Participating in sales training and seeking ongoing professional development.
  12. Willingness to work extended hours and travel extensively within the assigned territory for meetings and conferences.
  13. Performing related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years of successful direct sales experience in new customer acquisition, including territory prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, and contract closing. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (varies by location and experience)
