The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive sales and build strategic partnerships for Single-Use Systems within the assigned territory and portfolio. Will identify target accounts, develop and execute detailed sales plans, and lead a consultative sales process to deliver custom solutions to biopharmaceutical manufacturing customers.
The BDM manages a project pipeline, provides regular updates to both customers and internal stakeholders, and collaborates closely with the Technical Services Manager and other BDM’s. Will also hold accountability for one or more global key accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage territory to meet/exceed business goals and objectives in terms of gross sales, margins and new customer acquisition. Identify commercial opportunities in the form of new customers and/or new products, develop strong relationship at target accounts, provide application knowledge, industry expertise, and manage sales activities according to a solutions-selling, disciplined process.
Collaborate with all business departments to successfully win profitable projects in line with the business strategy. Contribute to improve and strengthen internal processes to achieve more efficiency and agility.
Collect, analyze and transmit information regarding market evolution and technology trends. Take part in trade shows either as a visitor or exhibitor.
Work with manufacturing operations to provide accurate and timely information regarding customer demand to support sales and service objectives. Provide periodic forecasts used to anticipate overall sales performance. Contribute to the yearly budgeting process and report on variances between sales and monthly objectives.

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $122,400 to $189,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
