The Business Development Manager will be directly responsible for achieving defined annual licensing revenue goals, maintaining consistent pipeline health, and contributing to overall business growth.

Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomy services company dedicated to unlocking the potential of every acre. Through direct-to-farm agronomic guidance, unbiased spatial research, and sub-acre environmental understanding, we deliver on the promise of precision agriculture.

This position is a remote position, but the desired candidate will need to live in Illinois.

How You Will Help Us Grow:

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned with defined revenue targets and market expansion goals
  • Cultivate deep relationships within the agriculture industry demonstrating a clear understanding of regional market dynamics and customer needs
  • Effectively articulate the value proposition and technical benefits of Advanced Agrilytics’ software platform to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with product innovation, customer success, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Engage with agronomic professionals working across key U.S. row crops, including corn, soybeans and wheat
  • Focus geographically on key agricultural regions in Illinois, Missouri & Wisconsin to support local market penetration and customer onboarding

Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in ag tech sales, agronomic services, or ag retail business development
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and securing long-term customer agreements
  • Deep knowledge of commercial farming operations and agronomic practices for corn, soybeans, cotton, and wheat
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial, capable of managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution and maintaining customer retention
  • Skilled at positioning agronomic software solutions to both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Adept at navigating long sales cycles and building trusted, consultative relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning closely with internal sales, product, and leadership teams
  • Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) to manage customer interactions, track sales pipelines, and maintain accurate client records for improved relationship management and business efficiency
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including regional travel for in-person customer engagements, industry events, and partner meetings.
  • Must reside in the U.S., and live in the applicable regional territory

What Our Culture Brings:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Vehicle reimbursement program
  • Professional growth
  • Collaborative, autonomous work culture where every person makes a difference!
