Business Development Manager – Power Discretes (Remote, USA)

Location: Home-Based, United States
Base Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 + Performance Bonus

Overview:


An established global semiconductor manufacturer is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its power discrete product lines—primarily IGBTs, MOSFETs, and related technologies—across North America. This remote role is ideal for a high-performing, self-motivated professional with deep expertise in the power semiconductor sector, and a strong drive to build strategic partnerships and identify new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence across key verticals: Automotive, Industrial, and Consumer.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and distribution partners.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and product management teams to align customer needs with product capabilities and roadmaps.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the entire business development cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and onboarding.
  • Report regularly on pipeline activity, market insights, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within the power semiconductors industry (IGBTs, MOSFETs, or related technologies).
  • Strong knowledge of key applications in automotive powertrain/inverters, industrial drives, and consumer electronics.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue and building strategic relationships in the North American market.
  • Experience working with or for Asian companies (Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, or Chinese) is highly valued, though not a strict requirement.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally as needed.
